Bog Arum

Bog Arum is an elegant and unusual marginal aquatic plant, bringing sophisticated beauty to UK pond edges and bog gardens. It features glossy, heart-shaped leaves and produces striking white, hood-like spathes with a yellow spadix in late spring to early summer, resembling a miniature Calla Lily. These are followed by attractive red berries in autumn. It thrives in boggy soil or very shallow water, preferring partial shade but tolerating full sun if kept consistently moist. This plant is superb for adding a touch of understated exoticism and year-round interest.
