Komatsuna 'Red'

Brassica rapa var. perviridis 'Red', also known as Komatsuna 'Red', is a striking Japanese mustard spinach that offers attractive purple-red leaves with a mild, slightly sweet flavour. This quick-growing annual typically forms a rosette of leaves, reaching 20-30cm in height and spread. It is relatively hardy and can be harvested as a baby leaf or allowed to grow to full size. 'Red' Komatsuna thrives in full sun to partial shade with fertile, moist, well-drained soil. It's an excellent and colourful addition to salads, stir-fries, and as a steamed green.
