Turnip 'Hakurei'
'Hakurei' is a highly prized Japanese turnip cultivar, producing small, smooth, pure white, globe-shaped roots with an exceptionally sweet and crisp flavour, often eaten raw. It's a fast-growing variety, reaching about 15-20cm in height and spread. Turnips prefer a sunny to partial shade position and well-drained, fertile soil. H6. Both the roots and young leaves are delicious. If allowed to flower, it produces white brassica flowers. Ideal for successional sowings.
