White Stem Pak Choi 'Taisai'

White Stem Pak Choi 'Taisai' is a traditional variety, forming compact rosettes of crisp, white stems and dark green leaves. It has a mild, slightly sweet flavour, perfect for quick stir-fries or steaming. This fast-growing annual reaches an ultimate height of 25cm and a spread of 20cm. It can be sown successionally from spring to late summer, offering a rapid harvest in under two months. It prefers partial shade during the hottest summer months to prevent bolting, thriving in full sun in cooler periods, and requires fertile, moist, well-drained soil. The small yellow flowers are attractive to pollinators if allowed to bloom. A reliable and versatile leafy green, excellent for continuous cropping.
