Kale 'Cavolo Nero' (also known as 'Black Cabbage' or 'Lacinato Kale') is a highly fashionable and incredibly nutritious leafy green, a favourite in UK kitchens. This Italian heirloom variety boasts long, slender, intensely dark green, savoyed leaves with a wonderfully robust flavour that sweetens after a frost. Its upright habit makes it space-efficient and an attractive addition to the vegetable patch. 'Cavolo Nero' is extremely hardy, providing delicious harvests throughout the autumn and winter months.
