Sprouting Broccoli 'Red Arrow'
'Red Arrow' is a superb purple sprouting broccoli cultivar, celebrated for its robust vigour and abundant yields of tender, purplish-red spears. The colour deepens beautifully with colder weather, and the flavour intensifies after a frost. These plants can reach 90-120cm in height and 60-90cm in spread. 'Red Arrow' is exceptionally hardy (H7), making it an excellent winter vegetable for UK gardens. It thrives in full sun and firm, fertile, well-drained soil. Plant in early summer for a late winter to early spring harvest, providing fresh greens when little else is available. Requires protection from birds and cabbage white butterflies. Its vibrant colour and sustained harvest make it an invaluable addition to the garden.
