Wax Begonia 'Devil Mixed'
The 'Devil Mixed' series of wax begonias is a stalwart of UK public parks and private bedding displays alike, prized for its extreme resilience and continuous flower production. This particular series is distinguished by its dark, bronze-green foliage, which provides a dramatic backdrop for the small, waxy flowers in shades of red, pink, and white. Reaching only 20cm in height, these begonias are perfect for edging borders or filling containers. They are incredibly tough plants, capable of withstanding heavy rain and heat without losing their neat, compact shape. They are effectively "self-cleaning," meaning they require no deadheading to stay looking pristine. While they are perennials in their native tropical habitats, they are strictly tender annuals in the UK and must be protected from all frost. They perform well in both sun and shade, making them a "problem-solver" plant for difficult spots in the garden.
