Basket of Gold

Aurinia saxatilis, commonly known as Basket of Gold, is a cheerful, low-growing perennial that forms a dense mat of grey-green foliage. In spring, it erupts with a profusion of bright yellow flowers, creating a stunning golden carpet. This plant is perfectly suited for rockeries, dry slopes, or cascading over walls, thriving in well-drained soil and full sun. It's drought-tolerant once established and requires minimal maintenance, making it an excellent choice for a low-fuss, high-impact display in exposed UK garden spots. Its vibrant bloom brings early colour to the garden.
