Bishop's Cap
Astrophytum myriostigma, the Bishop's Cap cactus, is a unique and spineless succulent resembling a bishop's mitre, with distinct ribs and often covered in fine white flecks. This striking cactus is a fantastic addition to a specialist cactus collection, best cultivated in a warm, bright conservatory or heated greenhouse in the UK. In summer, it produces beautiful, large, yellow, silky flowers from its apex. It is relatively slow-growing and requires exceptionally free-draining, gritty compost and plenty of sun. Protect rigorously from frost and excessive winter damp. A true sculptural gem for enthusiasts.
