Celeriac 'Prinz'
'Prinz' is a highly regarded celeriac cultivar, known for its uniform, smooth-skinned, large, and dense 'bulbs' which are easy to prepare. It offers a subtle, nutty, celery-like flavour, delicious in soups, stews, purees, or grated raw in salads. The plants reach approximately 30-45cm in height and spread. 'Prinz' is H4 hardy, tolerating typical UK winters, especially if mulched. It requires a long growing season and prefers a sunny, sheltered position with consistently moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Consistent watering and feeding are key for good root development. Sow indoors in early spring for an autumn/winter harvest. An excellent and robust choice for reliable celeriac production.
