Alder 'Imperialis'
A graceful, medium-sized deciduous tree reaching 15-20m, the Imperialis variety of Alder is noted for its deeply lobed, almost fern-like leaves, providing a delicate texture. It thrives in wet or boggy soils, often found along riverbanks and in damp woodlands, making it excellent for wetland gardens or areas with poor drainage.
