Bugle 'Black Scallop'

Ajuga reptans 'Black Scallop' is a vigorous and attractive evergreen groundcover, prized for its exceptionally dark, almost black, scalloped leaves that form a dense carpet. In spring, short spikes of deep blue flowers emerge, providing a lovely contrast to the dark foliage. This cultivar typically reaches 10-15cm in height with a spread of 30-60cm, making it excellent for suppressing weeds. H6 hardy, it thrives in partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soil. It's a superb choice for adding drama and year-round interest to the woodland floor or shady borders.
