Manchurian Striped Maple

An elegant, medium-sized deciduous tree reaching 10-15m in height with an upright, spreading habit. Valued for its attractive trifoliate leaves that turn vibrant shades of orange and red in autumn. Its most distinctive feature is its green bark striped with white, providing excellent winter interest. Hardy to H6, it thrives in partial shade and moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Relatively uncommon in cultivation but a beautiful specimen tree for its foliage, bark, and autumn colour. Prefers a sheltered position to protect its delicate leaves from harsh winds. A refined choice for a woodland garden.
