Veitch's Fir

A beautiful medium-sized fir with a dense, narrow conical habit and bright green needles that are strikingly silvery-white beneath. This contrast is particularly noticeable when a breeze ruffles the foliage. It produces attractive purplish-blue cones, even on young trees. Ultimate height 15-20 metres, with a spread of 5-8 metres. Prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained, acidic soil. A superb specimen fir, offering vibrant foliage colour and year-round elegance to the garden.
