Dwarf Korean Fir 'Blauer Eskimo'

Abies koreana 'Blauer Eskimo' is a delightful dwarf evergreen conifer, forming a very compact, flattened, cushion-like mound of dense, short, blue-green needles that are silvery-white beneath. This makes it an ideal choice for rock gardens, alpine troughs, or miniature landscapes in UK gardens, where space is at a premium. It is an extremely slow-growing cultivar, typically reaching an ultimate height of only 0.2-0.3 metres with a similar spread. It produces tiny, attractive violet-blue cones, even when very young. This fir thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained, acidic to neutral soils. It is fully hardy, rated H7 by the RHS, and requires minimal care. Offers exceptional texture and year-round colour in a tiny package.
